C45 is a medium carbon steel. C45 is used when greater strength and hardness is desired than in the rolled condition. C45 steel has good machinability and excellent tensile properties. C45 carbon steel bar is hot selling. There are 60 tons C45 round bars in stock.

Applications:
C45 carbon steel bar has widely application like quenched and subsequently tempered steel for screws, forgings, wheel tyres shafts, sickles, axes, knives, wood working drills, hammers, etc.
C45 carbon steel bar Hardening:
Harden form a temperature of 820-860°C followed by water or oil quenching.
Heat to 820°C to 850°C hold until temperature is uniform throughout the section, sock for 10-15 minutes per 25mm of section, and quench in ware or brine.
Heat to 830°C- 860°C soak as above and quench in oil. Temper immediately while still hand warm.
